Holistic Doula Care
Providing holistic pregnancy, birth, and postpartum education
& support for families in the Wichita, Kansas area.
Katie Miles – CD (MotherWit, DTI), SBD, ISE, CBE
My mission is to tune in and listen to every birthing person’s needs, answer their questions,
and provide the resources necessary for them to empower themselves in their journey.
I am passionate about providing education, unbiased support, and encouragement,
with a focus on natural and holistic methods.
Many aspects of a birthing person’s life have an effect on their birth and postpartum recovery – their attitude, prenatal education, support, nutrition, and especially the way that they are treated by care providers and loved ones. Single mothers, unmarried partners, nontraditional families, LGBTQ families, home births, birth center births, hospital births, those wanting an epidural, or wanting a natural unmedicated birth, those requiring a cesarean (belly birth), those with low risk pregnancies, those with high-risk pregnancies, or planning a VBAC, families expecting a healthy baby, families facing loss, breastfeeding parents, bottle-feeding parents, co-sleeping families, nursery families, crunchy parents, "silky" parents, attachment-style parents, old-school parents, and more… EVERY BIRTHING PERSON deserves a doula! (Learn more about the benefits of doula care.)
I strive to support parents by holding space for them to voice their concerns, and to create a calm and tranquil environment in which to bring new life into the world. I feel that prenatal education is the foundation of a healthy pregnancy and birth – both the birthing person and their partner should be well-informed about their options. Parents who prepare themselves will embrace parenthood with a more positive outlook, and I will to help you to find the resources that you need in order to make your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum period a more positive experience.
I am fully committed to providing my clients with the high quality care that they deserve. I am professionally trained, carry multiple certifications, am committed to continuing education, CPR/First Aid Certified, insured, and as a member of the Kansas Doula Collective I am also subject to professional accountability. (You may submit feedback at any time!)
