This is a great recipe that’s simple to prepare, and can be prepped ahead of time and frozen to bake later. It’s a great breakfast to prepare when you have a home full of friends and family!

Biscuits & Gravy Casserole
Ingredients:
1 lb breakfast sausage
1 package country gravy mix
2 cups shredded cheddar
6 eggs
1 can (8 oz) flaky layers biscuits
1/2 cup milk
salt/pepper to taste
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350F.
Butter a 9×13″ casserole dish.
Cut biscuits into 1″ pieces and layer on the bottom of the dish.
Brown the sausage. Drain, and sprinkle over the biscuits.
Sprinkle cheddar cheese over the sausage layer.
Whisk eggs, milk, salt, and pepper together. Pour mixture over the cheese layer.
Prepare gravy mix per package instructions. Pour it over the top of the casserole and spread evenly.
Bake for 45 minutes.

This casserole looks like the perfect comfort breakfast for a busy morning. I still keep handwritten family recipes, and converting handwritten recipes into text makes it much easier to organize and pass them down.
